Chicago, IL and Frankurt, Germany – May 21, 2008 – BigMachines, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand configuration and proposal software, announced today the immediate availability of BigMachines Lean Front-End® (LFE) 8.2. The latest version of BigMachines on-demand software leverages new web 2.0 technology to deliver a much more dynamic user experience and to further empower sales with best-of-breed configuration and quoting. Existing customers will be seamlessly upgraded to BigMachines 8.2 as part of their subscription and support agreements at no additional cost and will be able to immediately benefit from the new technology.
The powerful new features in BigMachines 8.2 were developed in direct response to valuable input from BigMachines customers. New features include dynamic, customizable interface elements, such as the ability to scale configuration input fields on-the-fly in arrays, drag and drop quotes into folders, auto-complete fields based on partial data input, expand and collapse groups, auto-fill dates from calendars, resize columns on the fly, plus much more. BigMachines 8.2 enhances automated transaction reports that enable customers to proactively track and manage user adoption. In addition, BigMachines invested substantial development resources to upgrade its core technology platform to extend the scalability, multi-language, and security features of its software to fully meet the needs of enterprise customers who have deployed BigMachines to thousands of users around the globe.
BigMachines can now be used to not only deliver quotes and orders faster and more accurately, but also to dynamically generate and manage sales contracts. This empowers BigMachines customers to streamline the entire sales process from the time they have a sales opportunity through quoting, contract negotiation, and ordering.
