Emerson EGS, a joint venture between Emerson Electric and SPX Corporation, Selects BigMachines Lean Front-End to Streamline Configuration Processes
Leader in Industrial Electric Products to enhance its product configuration by implementing BigMachines LFE
BigMachines, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand configuration and quoting software, announced today that Emerson EGS, a global industrial electric products leader, has selected the BigMachines Lean Front-End (LFE) platform. Specifically, Emerson EGS will leverage the BigMachines LFE Configuration engine to streamline its product configuration processes.
EGS, a joint venture between Emerson Electric (NYSE: EMR) and SPX Corporation (NYSE: SPW) is a global manufacturer of industrial electrical products for explosion proof, hazardous and ordinary location environments with some of the most well-known brands in the industry. Their solutions provide electrical distributors and end-users expert knowledge and excellent service.

BigMachines LFE will be tightly integrated with EGS’s BPICS ERP system. This will enable EGS internal quote and engineering experts to accurately configure product bills-of-material (BOMs) for complex orders. Distributors will also use the integrated system to directly generate and submit BOMs to the EGS team.
