The global company has been growing over 50% p.a., is led by a strong management team, has forged close partnerships with on-demand software industry leaders including Oracle, Microsoft, and Salesforce.com, and is backed by strong financial investors who are looking for the company to accelerate its rapid growth and value creation globally.
The Director of Business Development & Alliances will have the opportunity to own and drive our current partnerships as well as uncover and develop new partnerships. This rapidly growing organization is in need of a highly motivated individual who looks forward to the challenge of helping in creating, building, and growing our business.
The Director of Business Development & Alliances position will report directly to the SVP of Sales and Alliances and will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple teams throughout the organization and our partners to drive the company’s long-term success and to drive immediate sales. This role presents an excellent opportunity to make very visible top line impact and allow the individual grow into other roles within the company, which is committed to promoting talent from within.
Responsibilities:
- Awareness generation - Generate a torrent of awareness with our strategic partners and evangelize to the partner community.
- Constantly identify opportunities for optimal alignment with our key partners. Work closely with our partners to establish joint engagement processes and tools.
- Become BigMachines point of contact for Strategic and Tactical requests from our partners.
- Work closely and support the BigMachines sales team to leverage partners in uncovering new business opportunities and closing business.
- Work with partners and BigMachines product management and sales engineering to define and implement joint solutions.
- Must be very comfortable leading discussions and meetings with partner leadership and identifying breakthrough strategies.
- Hands on and "roll-up the sleeves" attitude to getting things done.
- Be comfortable in learning and demonstrating the functionality and capabilities of the BigMachines leading-edge web software technology.
Required Capabilities:
- Very strong communication skills – in person and phone
- Background in sales or selling of ideas or concepts
- Outstanding written communication skills
- High level of energy, persistence, and strong desire to do whatever it takes to win
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and thinking on your feed skills
- Quick learner and able to adapt to various situations.
- Strategic thinker who will roll-up sleeves and get things done
- BS or MS degree from a reputable 4-year college/university.
Desired Experience
- 3-10 years experience in technology industry sales and alliances, ideally in enterprise software
- BS/BA from a reputable college or university; MBA desirable
- Experience in building software and service partner alliances is helpful
