Application Program Interface (API)

Application Program Interface (API) is a sub-function or sub-routine of software code called by a software program residing elsewhere- in a different program or even an external program residing in another network or communicating over the internet. APIs are critical elements of SOA programs. BigMachines LFE uses web-service APIs to integrate to other programs using the internet.
