Director of Sales & Alliances, Europe
Locations:

  • London, UK (BigMachines has an office west of London near Heathrow in Staines) or
  • Frankfurt, Germany (BigMachines has an office in Frankfurt)

BigMachines, Inc., a rapidly growing software as a service (SaaS) company (http://www.bigmachines.com/) is in search of a Director of Sales & Alliances for Europe. The global company has been growing over 50% p.a., is led by a strong management team, has forged close partnerships with on-demand software industry leaders including Oracle and Salesforce.com, and is backed by strong financial investors who are looking for the company to accelerate its rapid growth and value creation globally.

The European Director of Sales & Alliances position will have the opportunity to help us build our business in Europe and ultimately lead a team of sales professionals consistently meeting goals, making quota, and beating the competition. This rapidly growing organization is in need of a highly motivated individual who looks forward to doing whatever it takes to help us grow our business through direct sales and alliances. The European Director of Sales & Alliances position will work closely with both our VP/GM Europe and the Global SVP of Sales and Alliances to build our European business. They will initially be expected to be a player-coach that can handle selling strategic accounts directly and extending key global alliance relationships in Europe, while helping us build and groom our European sales and sales engineering team. Once successful and proven we expect that this role can grow into a full-time leadership role, but this has to be earned by leading from the front.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales of BigMachines solutions and services. Meet sales quotas.
  • Build on our relationship with our global alliances partners to ensure we are the preferred, go-to-partner across Europe
  • Help to mentor, train, coach, and build the European sales organization
  • Learn and fully utilize BigMachines proven sales process methodology and use our tools including salesforce.com CRM and BigMachines for BigMachines to manage sales processes.
Required Capabilities and Skills:
  • High level of energy, discipline, and strong desire to do whatever it takes to win
  • Ability to evangelize powerful new SaaS technology and way of doing business in the cloud
  • Ability to quickly learn BigMachines solution and how we helps our customers sell more and sell faster
  • Ability to sell consultatively by listening to customer needs and shaping a shared vision for a solution
  • Ability to read, understand and navigate through complex political environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to interface with and win the trust of partner and customer executives at a peer level
  • Native English speaker and ideally also have the ability to speak a 2nd European language (preferably German and/or French)
Desired Experience:
  • 7-15 years experience in business-to-business sales
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed a sales quota consistently
  • BS/BA from a reputable college or university; MBA helpful
  • Proven success in selling enterprise software technology
  • Experience in building software and service partner alliances is helpful
