Job Description:
We are seeking a software engineer summer intern to work with our product development team in our Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining experience in enterprise application software development in a small, but fast-moving startup team and business. An internship at BigMachines is intended to provide a hands-on learning experience for the intern. The intern will gain valuable knowledge of the software product development process along with professional services project-based functions. There is a tremendous potential for creative freedom and innovation.
Responsibilities:
The intern will assist the product development team with day-to-day duties. Specific projects will be assigned involving research and implementation of new software technologies including web services.
Qualifications:
We are seeking an inspired, energetic and enthusiastic undergraduate student (or recent graduate interested in an experiential internship) with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Computer science major with some Java and database experience required. Ability to work independently with deadlines. Web and graphic design experience helpful, but not necessary.
