BigMachines Industry Board includes experienced leaders from the global manufacturing sector. Our industry board members have held senior management positions at leading global organizations including Bechtel, BMW, EnPro Industries, Goulds Pumps, Heidelberger Druck, ITT Industries, Parker Hannifin, and Sterling Fluids. BigMachines industry board advises the company on its market and product strategy and helps to represent the company in industry. All industry board members are also investors and shareholders of the company.

Goerdt Abel, former Chairman and CEO, Abel Corporation
Goerdt leads and advises business development at BigMachines by leveraging his extensive experience and contacts in the industrial machinery industry. Goerdt was formerly Chairman and CEO of ABEL Corporation, a leading manufacturer of positive displacement pumps and a wholly owned subsidiary of Roper Industries, a global manufacturer of analytical instrumentation, industrial controls and fluid handling equipment. Over the past 27 years, Goerdt grew ABEL into a highly profitable, global manufacturer. Goerdt holds a Diplom and PhD from the Vienna School of Business and Economics, where he studied international business and business strategy.

Stephen V. Ardia, former CEO of Goulds Pumps
Stephen V. Ardia, who is also a Director of The Nassau Group, has had a diverse set of experiences from CEO of a Fortune 500 company - Goulds Pumps Inc., which was subsequently sold to ITT Industries for $1.25 billion - to most recently CEO of a $70 million, publicly-traded environmental products and services company, Environment One Corporation, which was acquired by Precision Castparts Corporation. Mr. Ardia serves as the Chairman of the Board of Maxim Technologies, a leading supplier of environmental and building construction analytical services, and serves as a Director of The Nassau Group, a provider of strategic investment banking services to mid-market companies. He has through the years served on the Boards of banks, healthcare providers, oil equipment manufacturers as well as a wide range of not-for-profit organizations.

Cordell Hull, Board of Directors, Bechtel, and CEO, InfrastructureWorld.com
Cordell has been a leader in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industry for over 30 years. He serves on the Bechtel Board of Directors and is currently founder and CEO of InfrastructureWorld.com, an organization dedicated to creating a B2B Web site for the end-to-end management of infrastructure projects with $10 million in backing from Bechtel. Previously, Cordell served as Executive Vice President of the Bechtel Group, Chairman of Bechtel Enterprises and headed the Power group.

Richard Labrecque, former CEO, ITT Fluid Technology
Richard was an early investor in BigMachines and has served as Chairman of our Industry Board since its inception in 2000. Until his retirement in 2000, Richard built ITT Fluid Technology into the world's largest pump manufacturer and led its groundbreaking acquisition of Goulds Pumps in 1997. He has over 30 years of experience as a leader in the machinery industry and has served two terms as President of the Hydraulic Institute, the North American pump industry association. Richard is the Chairman of the BigMachines Industry Board.

Prof. Ing. Klaus G. Lederer, Chairman Intercept Biotechnology
Klaus currently serves as Chairman and Co-Founder of Intercept Biotechnology, a start-up company developing a patented implantable drug delivery system. Prof. Lederer was most recently Chairman of the Management Boards of Babcok-Borsig and HDW Howaltswerke Deutsche Werft, the world's largest non-nuclear submarine builder. Previously, he served as President of ITT Automotive in Europe, Africa, Middle East and General Manager Brakes & Chassis World Wide. Prior to joining ITT, Prof. Lederer served as Managing Director, Manufacturing and IT for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. Before joining Heidelberger Prof. Lederer worked for BMW AG as Vice President Manufacturing Systems. Prof. Lederer began his career at ITT after graduating with a PhD in engineering from the Institute for production technology and automation Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Stuttgart.

Warren McHale, Former President, Filtration Group, Parker Hannifin
Warren McHale has been in the fluid power and filtration industries for the past 40 years. His main contributions came with Fluid Controls of Mentor, Ohio where he was V. P. Marketing and Executive Vice President. He spent the past eighteen years with Parker Hannifin Corp. of Cleveland, Ohio. The first ten years he was VP of Operations in the Fluid Power Group, which consisted of hydraulic pumps, valves and hydraulic systems. For the past eight years he founded and served as President of the Filtration Group. In this capacity, he had direct responsibility for the worldwide design, manufacturing and marketing of all filtration products. Much of his effort to build the filtration group was directed toward acquisitions of other filtration companies. He has also served as chairman of the board of trustees of Willoughby School of Fine Arts, a local teaching and performing facility. Mr. McHale holds a BSEE from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.

Kenneth Rollins, Former President, Quincy Compressor, a division of EnPro Industries.
Ken served as President of Quincy Compressor, a division of EnPro Industries, until his retirement in November 2003. Rollins joined Quincy in 1979 as manager of manufacturing and was named vice president and plant manager in 1981. He was promoted to division president in 1985 and remained in that position until his retirement. He started the Bay Minette, Alabama, facility for Quincy and made it a model of lead time responsiveness and safety for the company. Ken has been active as a leader of the Compressed Air and Gas Institute (CAGI).

Dr. Erich Holzhueter, Former Management Board member, Sterling Fluids
Erich was previously a business unit manager and head of research and development at KSB, Europe's largest pump and valve manufacturer. Erich has been a pump industry leader for over 30 years and has served as President of EuroPump, the European pump industry association. Erich is head of the BigMachines European Industry Board.
