Office Assistant

Location: Deerfield, IL (Chicago North Suburbs)

BigMachines, Inc., a profitable, rapidly growing web software company (www.bigmachines.com) with offices in Deerfield, IL (Chicago north suburbs) and San Mateo, CA (Peninsula/Bay Area), is in search of a high caliber Office Assistant. The company has been growing 50-100% p.a., is led by a strong management team, and backed by strong financial investors, who are looking to accelerate the company's growth to the next level.

This position is for an experienced Office Assistant for a rapidly growing web software company. Candidate will be responsible for overall organization and support of the Deerfield, IL office.

Responsibilities:

  • Hours required: 8 am - 5 pm (with flexibility to accommodate office needs)
  • Provide administrative support to various executives as needed
  • Assist with office operations and visitor coordination
  • Work with outside vendors and run external errands for the Deerfield, IL office
  • Meeting setup and maintaining telephone and security system
  • Office and kitchen maintenance

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in administration
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Desire and ability to learn, improve and grow continuously
  • High energy, highly motivated, and ability to work without supervision and detailed instructions
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving
  • Strong writing skills and must be organized
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to do whatever it takes to help a young, growing company succeed
  • Strong PC skills, must have experience using Visio, Excel and PowerPoint, and must be able to operate a multitude of office equipment
